Joann Schaefer sets the pace after transplant

1/9/2012 As the chief medical officer for the state of Nebraska, Dr. Joann Schaefer has a lot of responsibility. As the recipient of a liver transplant, she feels additional responsibility: to be a role model of healthy living. She finished 7 half marathons in one year and has no plans to slow down. In this story from KETV, she said, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift. That's why it's the present."
