How You Can Help
Holiday Giving
Child’s Play
Xavier plays a new Game Boy Advance, which was given to the hospital through the
Child’s Play program in 2005.
Child’s Play, based in Seattle, was created in 2003 by an internet community of
gamers. It has raised nearly $1 million dollars in toys, games and cash for sick
children around the country. Last year, Child’s Play raised almost $10,000 in toys,
games and cash for The Nebraska Medical Center. For more information on Child’s
Play please visit childsplaycharity.org or contact The Office of Development at
The Nebraska Medical Center at 552-2029.

U.S. Marines Make Toy Delivery
Last year holiday spirits were soaring Dec. 22 when the U.s. Marines, along with
Santa, made a Toys for Tots stop at The Nebraska Medical Center. Santa made a dramatic
entrance by helicopter before distributing toys to our pediatric patients. Four-year-old
Andrea, had a chance to visit with Santa before receiving her present. This year
the Marines will be making their toy delivery on December 20th. For more information
on making a difference in a pediatric patient’s holiday please contact The Office
of Development at 552-2029.
