How You Can Help
Volunteer Services
Join The Nebraska Medical Center dynamic volunteer program. Volunteers at The Nebraska Medical Center must be at least 16 years-old.
Opportunities are available day and evening, seven days a week. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum of 2 to 4 hour commitment each week. An initial six-month or 60 hour commitment is requested of all volunteers. To volunteer at The Nebraska Medical Center, you must be at least 16 years old.
The mission of The Nebraska Medical Center Volunteer Services is to enhance the comprehensive patient and family care experience by providing meaningful service opportunities and recognition for volunteers and to support the activities of the Clarkson Service League and the University Hospital Auxiliary.
We have more than 600 trained individuals committed to serving the patients, families, visitors and staff of The Nebraska Medical Center. We provide support in clinical services, office assistance and fundraising activities. Volunteers serve by helping with essential non-medical duties in over 40 areas of the medical center. These services make the day a little easier and brighter for patients, employees and visitors at The Nebraska Medical Center. Their cheerful and selfless presence reaches every corner of the hospital campus.
